Hali’i Kai is a gated oceanfront community at the southern edge of Waikoloa Beach Resort, where lava-rock shoreline meets the fairways of the Waikoloa Beach golf course. Its two- and three-bedroom villas were built for the trade winds, deep lanais, open floor plans, and ocean or garden outlooks in every direction.

The Ocean Club restaurant & bar

Steps from the pool and open to the Pacific, the Ocean Club's oceanfront restaurant and bar is the easy answer to lunch, a sunset dinner, or a mai tai in the shade. Chef Donny cooks a rotating list of daily specials alongside the regular lunch and full bar menus.

Does Hali'i Kai charge a resort fee?

Yes, Hali'i Kai (also written Halii Kai) charges a daily resort fee that covers Ocean Club access, including the pool, hot tub, fitness center, and courts. Your Polu Resorts confirmation lists the current rate before you book, so there are no surprises at check-in.

What is the Ocean Club?

The Ocean Club is Hali'i Kai's private oceanfront amenity center, a lagoon-style pool, hot tub, bar and grill, and fitness center perched right on the Kohala Coast. Access is reserved for owners and registered guests.

How far is Hali'i Kai from the beach?

Anaeho'omalu Bay (A-Bay) is about five minutes away by car, and the Ocean Club sits directly on the shoreline within the community. Hapuna and Mauna Kea beaches are roughly 15–20 minutes north.
