A five-minute hop from your suite, the Kings’ Shops and Queens’ MarketPlace are the resort’s twin open-air centers: island clothing and galleries, an easy range of restaurants and quick bites, a koi pond, and free hula or live music on the lawn on select evenings.

Out behind the Kings’ Shops, the Kings’ Trail petroglyph field turns a shopping stroll into a small history lesson. Our concierge shares the week’s events so you catch the entertainment and the sunset.

Can we walk to the petroglyphs?

Yes, the Kings' Trail petroglyph field sits just behind the Kings' Shops, a short, flat walk that turns a shopping stroll into a small history lesson. Go earlier in the day or near sunset to skip the midday heat.

When is the best time to go?

Late afternoon into evening is lovely, with cooler air, dinner, and often music on the lawn. It is only about 5 minutes from your suite at Hali'i Kai, so it makes an easy after-beach outing.
